Constance Cansdale Obituary
Constance "Connie" (Ventura) Cansdale, 82, of Higganum, wife of the late Robert Cansdale, died Monday, December 16, 2013. She was born in Middletown, daughter of the late Anthony and Emily (Mojzis) Ventura. Prior to her retirement, Connie was employed with the food service department at Pratt & Whitney for 35 years. She was a member of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, St. Peter's Choir, the Polish Falcons and the Eagles in Middletown. She loved camping, was an ardent fan of the NY Giants and had a special interest in Native American Spirituality. She is survived by two sons, James and Daniel Cansdale both of Higganum, a daughter, Robin Walden of Middletown, a sister, Marjorie Bertolini of Higganum, three grandchildren, Amanda, Krystal and Shannon, one great-grandchild, Jackson, her niece, Cindy Kostick and her husband John, grandniece Marya Kostick and grandnephew, Jack Kostick. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday (Dec. 26th) at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Elm St., Middletown. Burial will be at the convenience of her family.
