Daisy Green Obituary
Daisy Green 82, of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2013. She was born in Tallahassee, FL on March 17, 1931 and was the beloved daughter of the late Oliver and Rosa (Knight) Green. Daisy served on the Usher Board and was very active in her church. She also loved to read, gardening and had a special love for people. She is survived by sons, Donald Green of Philadelphia, PA; Norman Green of Hartford, CT; Francis Green of Simsbury, CT; daughter; Greta Green of Hartford; sisters, Clytiemae Rush and Mertha Highsmith both of Philadelphia, PA; a special nephew Ivan Green and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by daughter, Theresa Green, brothers, Sevon, Promise and Julius Green. A celebration of her life will take place Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 11am, at Bethel AME Church, 1154 Blue Hills Ave. Bloomfield, CT with a calling hour from 10am to 11am. I remember one particular conversation on how your Mom expressed how proud she was to see President Obama enter into office, something she said she thought she would never see.
