MITCHELL, Dennis C.
Dennis C. Mitchell, 66, of Windsor, beloved husband of 45 years to Sharon L. Mitchell, passed away Tuesday (June 18, 2013) at his residence. He was born in Fort Worth, TX on April 11, 1947, son of the late Stanley P. Mitchell and Catherine (Coelen) Mitchell, and resided in Windsor for the majority of his adult life. Dennis was a veteran who honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed Corvettes and in years past held membership in a Corvette Club in Massachusetts. In addition to his wife, Dennis leaves three brothers-in-law, Terrence Boyer of Chicopee, MA, Gary Boyer of Springfield, MA, and Jon Boyer of Ludlow, MA and a sister-in-law, Caroline Ransom of Tolland and their spouses. He was also a proud uncle of many adored nieces and nephews. Dennis was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Philip Boyer and a niece, Valerie Ransom.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, 2 p.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery in Windsor. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 3-5 p.m. with a time of sharing beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc., 103 Vision Way, Bloomfield, CT 06002 or the charity of one's choice.
