Donald N. Albetski

1937 - 2014

Donald N. Albetski, 76, of Enfield, husband of Sylvia (Sweet) Albetski, passed from his earthly journey to eternal life on January 25, 2014 peacefully, at home. Donald was born March 5, 1937 in Webster, MA, and was the son of the late John and Alma (Provost) Albetski. He was a resident of Enfield since 1965. He was retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, and later worked for Bloomfield Convalescent Home and Budget Car Rental in Windsor Locks. He enjoyed bass fishing, a good game of cards with his brothers, traveling with his wife, restoring and attending car shows with his 1956 Ford Victoria, and was a fan of UConn Women's Basketball. Besides his wife, Donald leaves to mourn his passing; his son Michael Albetski and wife Gail of Somers, daughters, Donna Dorman and husband Jay of Ellington, Susan Albetski, of Enfield and Sandra Kittle and husband David Sr., of Enfield. He leaves grandchildren, Brian Albetski and wife Shannon of Vernon, Matthew Albetski of Enfield, Jason and fiancée Stephanie Sypek of Springfield, MA, Ashley Dorman of Ellington, Kristina Kittle and fiancé Joe Boulette of Enfield, David Kittle Jr. and Nicholas Kittle of Enfield and a great granddaughter Chelsea Albetski. He leaves his brothers Bernard Albetski of Webster, MA and Leo Albetski and his wife Harriet of South Daytona Beach, FL as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by brothers Ernest, Clarence, Alfred, Emile, William and George. Donald's family would like to thank Dr. Charles Kantor, the Hartford Health Group, VNA Hospice Team and all of his caregivers for all of their excellent care over the past several months.

A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Donald's life will be held, Wednesday, Jan. 29th at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Enfield Street Cemetery. Memorial donations in Donald's memory may be made to The Michael J.
