WRIGHT, Doris A.
Doris A. (Anderson) Wright, 82 of Enfield entered into eternal rest, Saturday, (September 28, 2013). She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Joseph B. Wright, in 2004. Born December 22, 1930 in Waterbury, CT she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ingrid (Abrahamson) Anderson. Prior to retiring, Doris was employed with the Montgomery Co. of Windsor Locks. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of our Redeemer, Enfield where for many years she was an active member of the Ladies Guild. She was an avid reader, and ardent fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women's Basketball. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose life centered around her family, faith and friends. Doris is survived by her four children, Robert Wright and wife Mary of Coventry, David Wright and wife Alyse of Haddam, Kenneth Wright and wife Paula of Cromwell, Karin Cohen and husband Richard of Haddam; nine grandchildren, Erik Wright, Karl Wright, Kaitlyn Bacon and husband Mathew, Erin Wright, Meghan Wright, Andrew Wright, Heather Wright, Daniel Cohen, Joshua Cohen and wife Alyssa and her great granddaughter Ryley Cohen.
Funeral Services for Doris will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Enfield. Relatives and friends my gather with her family during calling hours from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield. Memorial donations in Doris's memory may be made to the Gaylord Rehabilitation Center Development Office Gaylord Hospital, P.O. Box 400, Wallingford, CT 06492.
