PRATT, Edgar Elmer
Edgar Elmer Pratt, 89, of Middletown, husband of the late Florence (Harrington) Pratt, passed away on Sunday, June 9th at Heritage Commons. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ethel (Sweet) Pratt. Edgar lived in Middletown most of his life and was a member of the Church of Holy Trinity. He was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for thirty years and coached Little League in Middletown for over forty-five years. Edgar was a World War II Veteran serving as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Air Force. He is survived by his son, James E. Pratt and his wife, Jacqueline Crocker of Lincoln, NE; his daughter, Eleanor Frazier and her husband, G.W. Frazier of Middletown; and two grandchildren, Kathryn F. Baldwin and G. Andrew James Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14th at 11 a.m. at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. Burial will follow in Indian Hill Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded. Friends and family may call on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5- 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Edgar's memory to Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 and messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.

Ed Pratt was our son's baseball coach in the 70's. Pete learned a great deal from Ed, & we all remember him fondly. Our sympathy to his family. Sincerely, Sue & Pete Boden

I'm sorry you have to go thru this but I think Uncle Ed is glad to be with Aunt Polly again. It's so hard to imagine life without him though. It's time to celebrate a life well lived. I'm proud to be able to say he was my uncle.
