MOORE, Edward S.
Edward S. Moore, 76, of South Windsor, beloved husband of Evelyn (Anderson) Moore, died peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. He was born on November 10, 1936, in Hartford, CT, son of the late Herman and Neva (Croom) Moore. Edward grew up in Hartford with his siblings, Charles, James and Lillian and was a graduate of Weaver High School with the Class of 1955. He went on to serve our country with the U.S. Army. Upon returning from the service he married his wife Evelyn and together they settled in South Windsor. Edward retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after 25 years of service. He enjoyed cards, chess, basketball and spending time with his family. Along with his wife Evelyn of over 50 years, he leaves a host of extended family members and friends.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013, 10:30 a.m., at the Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery, Bow Lane in Middletown, CT, with Military Honors. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home in South Windsor has care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
