Elizabeth R. Smith

Elizabeth R. Smith, 93, of Bloomfield, beloved wife of the late Luther W. Smith, Sr., died Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Born in Wethersfield, daughter of the late Leon and Elnora (Turner) Roame, she was raised there and graduated from Wethersfield High School where she played Varsity girls basketball. She had been employed by Pratt & Whitney for many years before retiring in 1985. She leaves her daughter Delores Keith and her husband Vincent of Hartford; a brother Clarence Roame of Hartford; a sister Margaret Thomas of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren Courtney, Shavon, Vanessa, and Ian. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by brothers Norman, George, Thomas, Richard, and Ernest and sisters Priscilla Howard and Janet Harris. Her family will receive friends Sunday, Dec, 1 from 2-3 pm in the Chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, followed by a funeral service at 3 pm. The Rev.
