RANDALL, Elliott Leroy, Jr.
Elliott Leroy "Roy" Randall Jr., 65, of Manchester, formerly of Ellington passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2013 at home. Roy was born in Rockville on November 23, 1947 son of the late Elliott L. Randall Sr. and Dorothy (Church) Randall. He was employed as a Machinist at J.T. Slocumb in Glastonbury before he and his daughter Lisa purchased a Carvel franchise during the early 1990's. For nearly a decade Roy assisted his daughter in achieving her goal of becoming a culinary artist while also allowing her to explore her business management skills which ultimately led her to owning her own massage therapy practice. Roy took a great deal of pride and interest in his daughter's life and truly lived for his "Pumpkin". Roy enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He is survived by his grandson Scott R. Randall of Hendersonville, NC; his sister Sharon Madore of Manchester; his brother-in-law Thomas Panciera of Tolland; along with many nieces, nephews and their children. In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by his son Elliott L. "Roy" Randall, III; his daughter, Lisa Randall; and his sister, Donna Panciera. Roy was always ready for a long conversation, good movie or a jaunt through his dictionary to find interesting words and find clever ways to use them in conversation. Ultimately, Roy thrived on the company of those who knew and loved him best. He will be greatly missed.
