Emelda Martin

Emelda (DuBord) Arsenault Martin, 95, of Vero Beach, FL wife of the late Albert Arsenault, to whom she was married to for 27 years and the late Theodule Martin, to whom she was married to for 16 years, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Florida. She was born April 14, 1918 in Everarest, Canada, daughter of the late Noel and Anna Marie (Roy) DuBord and had lived in Collinsville and Farmington prior to moving to Florida. Mrs. Martin was employed at Veeder Root in Hartford for 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick's, Church, Collinsville. She loved the French Club of Park Street in Hartford and the New Britain French Club. She is survived by a son, Normand Arsenault of Orange City, FL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and John D. Battistoni of Avon and Cecile and Denny Bogino of Fort Pierce, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Arleen Arsenault of Vero Beach, FL. Her step children, Bob and Aggie Martin of Hobe Sound, FL, Edwina and Ronald Martin, Larry and Jackie Martin, Frank and Mary Mae Martin and Gaetane and Jerry Voisine all of Bristol, Donna and Norman LaVoie of Forestville, Cloeuda and Edgar LaVertu of Bristol, Paul and Ghislaine Martin of Farmington, Pierrette and Robert Roy of Bristol, Richard and Leslie Martin of Southington and Georgette and Daniel Girard of Bristol; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike, Canton, Wednesday, January 29th, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral will be Thursday, January 30th, 10:15 am from the Vincent Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Collinsville.
