Evelyn Consolini

Evelyn Consolini, 92, of Southington passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gino Consolini. She was born in Avon, the daughter of the late Quartilio and Leonide Paoloni. Evelyn graduated as Valedictorian at St. Mary's High School in Waterbury. She was a brilliant student and throughout her life was an accomplished seamstress, painter and published author. She wrote a treasured family history. In her early years, she worked as a secretary for Scovill Mgf. Co in Waterbury. She is survived by her loving children, Donna Consolini of Southington; Dina and husband Mike Dommett of England; Joseph Consolini and wife Danielle in CA; Paula Consolini and husband James Mahon of MA; Gina Consolini all of MA and Gil Consolini and wife Jane of Darien; 5 grandchildren, Jack, Michaela, Evelyn, Adam and Michael; and two nephews, Mark Paoloni and wife, Rosalie; and David Paoloni. She leaves her cousin Bertha Jurewicz and devoted caregiver Nancy True. She was predeceased by a brother, Hugo Paoloni.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at 9:45 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church at 10 am. Burial will be at St. Anne's Cemetery in Avon at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-5 pm. The family welcomes photos of Evelyn and Gino over the years.
