KENNY, Evelyn "Lynn"
Evelyn "Lynn" (Waters) Kenny, 91, of Glastonbury, the loving wife of 64 years to the late Donald J. Kenny, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Newington Healthcare Center. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Harry and Esther (Bloomquist) Waters, she was a long-time resident of West Hartford and Newington before moving to Glastonbury where she resided for the past 15 years. She leaves her two sons; Donald J. Kenny, Jr. and his wife Allyson of Newington, Douglas J. Kenny of Glastonbury; her grandchildren Paul Kenny and his wife Gillian of Glastonbury, Garrett Kenny and his wife Amanda of Newington and Gregory Kenny also of Newington; as well as her sister Frances Wilder of Vernon. One of eleven children, she was predeceased by nine siblings, Anna, Robert, Dorothy, Arlene, Helen, Eugene, Alice, Henry, and Donald. Lynn was a lover of the arts and loved to paint and to draw. She also loved to both read and write poetry. Lynn was a long time member of the West Hartford, Newington and then the Wethersfield congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. Both she and her late husband Don enjoyed volunteering together in both comforting and sharing Bible truths with many in the community.
A memorial talk has been scheduled for TODAY at 6:30 p.m. at the Newington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 551 Church St. in Newington. To share a memory with her family, please visit us at www.newingtonmemorial.com.
