PEASE, Evelyn (Peterson)
Evelyn (Peterson) Pease, 91, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Pease, passed away peacefully on Thursday, (October 3, 2013) at Apple Rehab in Avon. She was born November 6, 1921 in Spokane WA to the late Franklin and Rena (Young) Peterson. She was a former resident of Windsor Locks, North Granby and Simsbury. Evelyn was an Executive Secretary for Emhart Manufacturing Co. for many years before retiring in 1986. She was an active member of the Poquonock Community Church in Windsor and was very involved with their Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of several local quilting groups including the Farmington Valley Quilters and The Granbees. Evelyn is survived by nephews Michael Prindle, Thomas Prindle, David Prindle and nieces Lyrl Ahern, Karen Turney and Susan Heald as well as several great-grandnephews and great-grandnieces. In addition to her husband and parents Evelyn was predeceased by her brother, A. Delbert Peterson; sisters-in-law, Marcia Peterson and Claire Prindle and her nephew, Andrew Peterson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 10 a.m. at the Poquonock Community Church, 1817 Poquonock Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, from 5-7 p.m. at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave., Windsor.
