Sincere sympathy to the Sharp family. Our children loved Mrs. Sharp the nursery school teacher. We loved Evelyn the soloist, friend and one of the kindest women on the planet.

My deepest condolences to the family of this wonderful person. I grew up as a neighbor of Evelyn's. Even caught the Measels from her children. Always kept in touch and had just so many memories. She was such a pleasure.I just loved her so much. One of my most favorite people. I will miss you Evelyn. May you rest in peace in Heaven. God be with you.

We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. Sharp. My husband and I are both alumni of E.G.C.C.N.S. and have the fondest memories of a warm and caring teacher. Whenever we saw Mrs. Sharp in town, she always remembered who we were and took the time to reminisce of years past. It was an honor to introduce her to my daughter when we went caroling last Christmas in her neighborhood. I am glad to have the memory of singing to her! You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Tho I've only met my great aunt Evelyn 2-3 times in my life every time was so great. She came to California with Great Aunt Clara to see my grandfather (their brother) Thomas Edmonds. I remember both of them in the kitchen making the best cherry cheesecake i've ever had! lol she was full of laughs and full of life. Great Auntie you will be missed very much! Love you so much. May you rest in peace and dance with the angels. To all of my family out there you are in my prayers. <3

I still have very fond memories of her as a preschool teacher. She was a valued member of the church I last saw her at my grandmothers funeral. She was such a joy.

I can remember one Sunday in the East Granby Congregational Church when Mrs. Sharp's rendition of "Amazing Grace" moved me to tears. Such a talent! I also had the pleasure of teaching many of her nursery school "alumni" when they reached middle school age, and they wrote about Mrs. Sharp sometimes -- and always with fond memories of their early education. It is impossible to measure the influence she has had on so many lives.

Evelyn was one of the greatest influences on my boys' lives. They were both graduates of the East Granby Congregational Church Nursery School when she was the director. So much so that my grandchildren were sent there too. I will miss you greatly.
I asked the Congregation this past Sunday to sing "Some Children See Him" because I remember Evelyn singing it at our Christmas services. Now she is singing it to the angels.

I worked with Mrs. Sharp at Windsor Discovery. She was a sweet earthly lady. I still remember many of the wise things she would say. God bless her.

We would never be able to count the lives this wonderful lady touched. I met Evelyn in 1979 when my son Brian attended Nursery School in East Granby. She was the most kind, soft spoken lady I ever met. When Brian died she sang at his funeral. She always told me he was one of her favorites. We remained friends throughout her life and she will be missed.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Sharp Family during this sad time. I met Evelyn at the "Friend to Friend Thrift Shop"; she was the kindest, most genuine lady with a huge heart. She always had a wonderful story to tell and would brighten up your day with her beautiful smile. She was an angel amongst us. Heaven has gained a precious angel. May wonderful memories of Evelyn help to sustain her family and friends during this difficult time. Evelyn left a footprint on my heart forever. God Bless you Evelyn. May you rest in peace.

I was a shy and awkward girl when Mrs Sharp guided me into her classroom 41 years ago. I remember well her kindness and the love she gave to all her young students. She touched the hearts of so many!

Aunt Evelyn I remember always being so warm and engaging as a little girl. I always knew she cared about me, and as a child I instantly respected her, even as a young girl I knew she was a woman of God. The Holy Spirit just oozed off her. I admire her for her strength to endure so much so many of her family dying before her. She is an inspiration to living in the moment and being strong in God. She was a special woman, so Godly yet so witty. She was a blessing when my father Norman Edmonds was sick, she was a proud sister, wife, mother, daughter and Aunt. And Heavan's gain is our loss. I love you Aunt Evelyn until we meet again someday. All my love Andrea Edmonds Landes. xoxo
