MOORE, Frances McGarrah
Frances McGarrah Moore, 67, departed this life on Saturday, (July 6, 2013) at Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford. Frances was born May 31, 1946 in Hartford, to the late Henry and Bessie McGarrah, Jr. She attended St. Michael's School and graduated from Weaver High School. In 1968 Frances married the love of her life, Samuel Carl Moore, together they shared a life of love, and happiness, until Sam's passing in 1997. Frances retired from the State of Connecticut after 28 years of service. She was an active lifelong member of St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, a member of The Knights of St. Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary, St. Benedict's Court #311, and valued her friendships with the The Atta-Girls and The A-team. Frances leaves to celebrate the times of her life and fond memories, five sisters, Annette Lawing of Ora Valley, AZ, Gloria McGarrah of East Hartford, Cheryl Eubanks, Sandra McGarrah and Beverly McGarrah, all of Hartford, one brother, Gregory McGarrah of Hartford, two aunts, Frances Cherry and Bertha McGarrah of Bloomfield, one brother-in-law Frank Moore (Carol) of Windsor, special mention: Joyce Willis, Cynthia James (Robert), Herbert Wright (Margaret) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Frances was predeceased by her two brothers, Raymond and Henry McGarrah, lll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, 7 Clark St., Hartford. Burial will follow at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours for family and friends are from 9-10 a.m., at the church. For online condolences please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.
