Francis DelMastro Obituary



Francis Xavier DelMastro, loving son, brother and uncle, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 following a long illness. He was 77 years old. Frank, a life-long resident of Hartford, lived his life guided by a deep love and devotion to the Catholic faith. He graduated from St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, attended St. Mary Seminary in Baltimore and later received his Masters Degree from the University of Hartford. He later worked for and retired from the State of Connecticut Judicial Court System in Hartford. Frank spent the past several years living at St. Mary Home, West Hartford, where so many of the wonderful staff became his second family. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Blanche (Marchewka) DelMastro, a sister Pauline (DelMastro) Bores, and a nephew Jeff Bores. He leaves behind his Brother in Law, Joseph Bores of Trumbull, his nieces Christine Oleski of Trumbull, Suzanne Bores of Bridgeport, Jacqueline Greene and her husband, Will of Killingworth, and nephew Richard Bores and his wife Karen of Somers. He also leaves several great nieces and nephews; Daryl, Matthew, Joseph, Christopher, Wynne and Blythe in addition to several cousins and family members in New York, California and Italy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peters Church, Main St. Hartford, on Friday, Dec. 27 at 9:00 am. There are no calling hours. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of St. Mary for providing Frank with so many years of love and care.
