Francis Mastranardi

Francis (Frank) Anthony Mastranardi, 86, formerly of West Hartford, died Monday, December 9, 2013 in South Windsor, CT. Born and raised in Hartford, he was one of three children of Michele and Vittoria Mastranardi. Frank is survived by his wife of 37 years Margaret Mastranardi, formerly of West Hartford, his former wife Lydia A. Oliver of Suffield, his sister Rosemarie Crane of Vernon, CT, his son Michael Mastranardi of South Portland, Maine, his step-son David Byro of Magnolia, New Jersey, his step-daughters Christine Waites of Manchester, Connecticut and Jane Scaff of Austin, Texas, eight grand children, eight great grand children and his childhood friend Carmen DeVito, formerly of Rockyhill. Frank spent his career working in West Hartford as a fine tailor and fitter, most notably at the William F. Powers Co. After retirement, Frank joined the Fernleigh Lawn Bowling Club of West Hartford and fell in love with the game. He spent nearly 20 years devoting his time to this sport, and winning many club distinctions. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at The First Congregational Church on South Main Street in West Hartford, and all are welcome to attend.
