BUBSEY, Frank J.
Frank J. Bubsey, of, Simsbury, beloved husband of Charlotte (Cox) Bubsey, died Friday, (November 1, 2013) at Hartford Hospital. He was born June 26, 1923 in Cleveland, OH. He attended Case Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Metallurgy. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and was stationed at Edgewood Arsenal, Maryland, where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He was assigned to accompany shipments of poison gas on trains to military bases around the country. He spent his civilian career as an engineer and worked for various companies manufacturing fans and blowers in Ohio, New Jersey and Connecticut, where he retired in 1988. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Grant of Simsbury, his daughter Gail of Troy, MI and his granddaughter Katherine of Seattle, WA. He also leaves a brother Raymond and his wife Janet of Medina, OH.
Calling hours will be held at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Wednesday, November 6th from 1-4 p.m. Graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 9 a.m. at the Simsbury Cemetery, 16 Plank Hill Road in Simsbury. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 1463 Highland Avenue, Cheshire, CT 06410.
