I still miss my big brother nearly every day. He was always there to talk to, share dreams and plans. My life is better for having had him, and still having him, as my big brother.

I worked with Gary for many years at Millstone and CY. He was kind and compassionate. He always took the time to really listen to people. We had great times with Gary and his wife Susan which will always be remembered. He was a wonderful friend and will be missed. With love and sympathy.

I worked with Gary at Millstone and havent seen him since he was someone I could ask anything and he had the answer. Wish he didn't leave Millstone but glad he had a full life and found peace. Rest fellow Gary

We first met at Electric Boat Shipyard back in the 70s. We were part of a department of individuals that wouldn't accept the status quo and stood our ground to improve not only our ability to do our jobs better but to better the science of protecting people from radiation hazards as they worked. We were together again working in the Radioactive Waste department at Millstone and at the decomissioning of Connecticut Yankee. But it wasn't until working at Windsor, Ct that we found out how much we had in common and from that foundation became the best of friends and confidants. We both enjoyed listening to the latest 'wierd jazz' group that one of us had found while drinking a cup of very strong fresh coffee. We would trade stories about the past and get updated about our latest endeavours. He even came to a couple of my Buddhist Services and at first I thought he didn't like it because he looked like he was asleep during the whole thing but afterwards he said that it was the most relaxing 2 hours he had ever had!
He was probably very close to being the best example of the absent minded professor I would ever meet...he would come into my office and borrow the stapler or whatever and was so busy thinking about other stuff he was doing would forget to return it and of course I would bust him every time!
He was a part of history as well as an important part of so many of our lives and I will miss him greatly.
He saved my life by insisting that I go to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston after my treatments in Middletown had stopped working..and they put me into a clinical trial that has kept me here for an additional two years!!!
Unfortunately, I will not be able to be at his service but he knows that he is in my heart every day anyway...
soooooo...Hey Gary..when I get ready to bail out of here get the coffee perking and I will start the popcorn and we can get caught up..OK??

I will miss this man, he was always a top class brother in law. Gary made sure he visited his family members no matter how far he had to travel and offered anything he had to help those in need. Love you Gary, you will be missed by all of those you touched

A few months after the birth of your first son, and the birth of my first son, Andrew, was imminent, you shared something with me that I never forgot, and that I have since shared many, many times. "A child changes the Center of your Universe." Beautiful. Thank you, Gary. This is how I remember you. The Driftwood County Five is now Four.

Over the years, Gary was my colleague, customer, and then "Oversite" at CY. He was one of the few CY folks who welcomed and helped the interloping decommisioning crew who came to tear apart his plant. Just the kind of guy he was. Rest in peace, Gary.

So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I had lost contact with him over the years, but spent many nights working with him at the EB and Millstone. I will miss his deep conversations and fine wit. He was a mellow person and a deep thinker. I am a better person for knowing him. RIP Gary.

Emo and I treasure our memories of Gary! He was a very dear friend back in the 60s and we loved him very much. Somehow lost contact but feel that we have lost a dear brother. Our bond is sealed forever in time and his loss is felt very deeply by us both. Ginny and Emile Levasseur

With deepest sympathy for Gary's family, we all mourn his passing. He will always be remembered very fondly for the good person he was, the respect and care he showed for others, and the positive impacts he had on everyone he knew through living his Right Livelihood.
