Gasper J. Jansky, 80, of Moodus, died Sunday January 12, 2014 at his home. Gasper was born in Queen, NY, son of the late Gasper and Lillian (Kazimier) Jansky. Prior to his retirement, Gasper was employed as a machinist at Jarvis Air Foil in Portland. He served with the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 200 in Rocky Hill and an avid golfer. Gasper is survived by his daughters, Jennie Colvin of TX, Cindy Stewart of AK, Alvina Jansky of CO, a brother, George Jansky of Moodus, sisters, Ann Walsh of NY, Lillian Walsh of Moodus, his long time companion, Theresa Francis and her children, Wayne Sr., Howard, Paul, Deborah and Matthew, ten grandchildren, Victor, John, Abby, Jeff, Wayne Jr., Joseph, Jacob, Joshua, Danielle and Miranda, four great-grandchildren, Jazmine, Jacia, Dillon, Ian and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Jansky. His funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. Burial with military honors will be at the State Veterans' Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home. I can't believe it's been 5 years since I've lost you. Truth be told, what's even More unbelievable is it STILL feels like I just lost you yesterday. I think about you every day. I cry at least once a week. When I look with love upon my little girl Isabella, a part of me cry's inside, with ache..You were supposed to meet my daughter papa, I long for you and grieve for her. Your grandkids (Danielle & Miranda) were the apple of your eye. They will cherish each and every moment that was spent with you, which was every single weekend and days in between for the last 23 years.
Know that I will miss you dad, I was the daughter who was in your life for the last 33 years. We had the best father & daughter relationship. You were always there for me as I was for you. You cherished Mom ( Teri ). She was the love of your life.
