George R. Farrell

1938 - 2013

George Raymond Farrell, 75, of Windsor Locks, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 27, 2013, at Hartford Hospital. Born on March 26, 1938 in Concord, MA, he was the son of the late Edmond and Flora (Hull) Farrell. On March 26, 1960 George was united in marriage to his beloved bride of 53 years, Beverly A. Morrison. He worked for Pratt & Whitney for 35 years before his retirement in 2001. George proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy and was a very active member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he was the head usher for the past 20 years. In his free time, George enjoyed golfing, bowling, skiing, and traveling with his wife. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, George was a family man and he will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Beverly; his three children, Debra Maine and her husband, Richard, of Fruitport, MI, Denise Sedor and her husband, Robert, of Simsbury, CT, and David Farrell and his wife, Jill, of Windsor, CT; his ten cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Seth, Kayla, Drew and Elise Maine, Alexander, Sarah and Emily Sedor, and Kate and Rebecca Farrell; and a sister, Eleanor Rhillinger and her husband, Richard, of AZ. George's family will be receiving relatives and friends for a visitation on Monday, December 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31st at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
