GRANT, Gerald "Jerry" Francis
Gerald "Jerry" Francis Grant, 73, of Suffield, beloved husband of Carol Ann (Sline) Grant passed away Saturday, (August 31, 2013) at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Born January 25, 1940 in Boston, MA son of the late Charles and Arlean (Dakin) Grant he lived in Melrose, MA before moving to Suffield 30 years ago. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War after the war he was employed by U.S. Airways for over 40 years before retiring. Besides his wife Carol, he is survived by two sons, Michael Grant and his wife, Mary of Plainfield, IN, Bruce Grant of Suffield; a daughter, Cheryle Bailey and her husband, Bill of Reading, PA; a brother, Charles Grant and his wife, Dorea of St. George, Bermuda; a sister, Elizabeth Denehy and her husband, Michael of Leominster, MA; a sister-in-law, Peggy Grant of Norwood, MA; five grandchildren, Derek, Jordan, William, Drew and Arleana. He was predeceased by a brother, Glenn Grant.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2013, 11 a.m. at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. Burial with military honors will be in Massachusetts State Veterans Cemetery, Agawam, MA. His family will receive friends Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Spondylitis Association of America, P.O. Box 5872, Sherman Oaks, CA 91413.

I just recently read about Jerry Grants passing. I worked for Jerry in Bradley until I left for Charlotte,Jerry was a great boss and a great person. He will be missed. Eric Caldwell

My condolences to the family.Gerry actually got me my job at UsAir. Worked with him for many years.I just heard of his passing last night.So sorry I did not get to pay my last respect to a good guy,friend and boss.
