Gerard Girard Obituary
Gerard Girard, 88, of Manchester, beloved husband of the late Rita (Therrien) Girard died Wednesday (December 11, 2013) at Manchester Manor. Born in St. Anne, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late George and Leda (Lavois) Girard. He is survived by his son Adrien and his wife Suzanne of Stafford Springs; his grandchildren Brenda Girard Hughes and her husband Jason Hughes of Middletown, and Linda (Girard) Klimaszewski and her husband Joe of Wolcott; his great-grandsons Connor and C.J.; and his best friend Teresa. He is also survived by his siblings, Georgette Thibodeau of Bangor, ME, Bertine Tuminskas of Beloit Wisconsin, and Martin Girard of St. Anne, N.B., Canada, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Monday (December 16th) at 9:15 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester. A committal service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain on Monday at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. For online condolences please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com.
