CORRIVEAU, Gilman "Gil" J.
Gilman "Gil" J. Corriveau, 72, of Enfield, beloved husband of the late Jane L. (Haley) Corriveau died peacefully on October 19, 2013 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fort Kent, Maine on June 27, 1941, "Gil" was the son of the late Adelard and Mamie (Dube) Corriveau. Gil has been an Enfield resident for forty-two years and previously lived in Hartford. He was a communicant of St. Martha Church. Gil retired from Rosen Enterprises in 2000 and was previously employed with the former Enfield Electronics. Gil was very fond of his grandchildren, especially Jeanette who resided with him, and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons Dale, Jr. and Michael and accompanying them to their sporting events. Gil is survived by his sons, Dale Quesnel and his wife, Susan of Enfield, Lance Quesnel and his fiancée, Fran Ragno Kennedy of Enfield, and John Quesnel, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Jeanette, Dale, Jr., Michael, Nicole, Eddie, Crystal, Victoria and John III; four great grandchildren; his siblings, Yvette and Maurice Dionne of Willington, Laurette LaPointe of East Hartford, Madeline and Don Laferriere of Eagle Lake, ME, Julie and Gordy Bragdon of Eagle Lake, ME, Bernadette Labreck of Saco, ME, and Ivan Corriveau of Bangor, ME; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Milton and Albert Corriveau and his grandson, Andrew.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 by 9 a.m. at Browne Memorial Chapels for a procession to St. Martha Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery. Gil's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082.
