DELUCA, Giuseppina (D'Alessandro)
Giuseppina (D'Alessandro) DeLuca, 85, of Rocky Hill, loving wife of the late Nicholas DeLuca, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, (June 25, 2013) with her family by her side. She was born February 18, 1928 in Campodipietra, province of Campobasso, Italy and was the daughter of the late Martino and Carlotta (Carlone) D'Alessandro. She was employed by the former Ravioli Kitchen for many years. She was a faithful communicant since 1965 of St. James Church, Rocky Hill. She is survived by her son, Crescenzo DeLuca and wife Jessica of Litchfield and daughter, Carla D. Roggi and husband Wayne of Wethersfield; her brother, Mario D'Alessandro and wife Angelina of Montreal, Canada; and sister, Teresa Carlone of Italy; sister-in-law, Quentina D'Alessandro of Wethersfield; ten adored grandchildren, Nicholas DeLuca, Carly DeLuca, Isabella DeLuca, Crescenzo "CJ" DeLuca, Joseph Mirsky, Nicholas Mirsky, Amelia Mirsky, Dania Decosse and husband Jeff, Henry Roggi and Josephine Roggi; three special great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jenna and Jacob Decosse, as well as many close nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very special family friend and caregiver, Maria Ortiz. She was predeceased by a daughter, Josephine Mirsky; grandson, Timo "Marty" DeLuca; two brothers, Gino and Camillo D'Alessandro and two sisters, Saveria D'Avirro and Michelina Paventi. A very special thank you to Tina Van Der Tuin and Janeth Caines and the VNA Hospice team for the care, love and compassion shown to Giuseppina and her family during her illness.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 29, at 8:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel.
