Grace Castle "(Eddy)" Castle

1937 - 2013

Grace (Eddy) Castle, 76, of Tariffville, beloved wife of Roger L. Castle, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at John Dempsey Hospital. She was born June 1, 1937 in Hartford, daughter of the late Julian B. and Edith (Messenger) Eddy and had lived in West Hartford prior to moving to Tariffville in 1965. Grace was a graduate of the Class of 1955 of Hall High School in West Hartford and attended the University of Connecticut. Grace was Secretary for Tow Path Gardens in West Hartford for many years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, nature, needlework, was a huge fan of NASCAR Racing and an avid reader. Besides her loving husband of 56 years, she is survived by her son, Donald Castle and his wife Janice of Willington; her daughter, Deborah C. Moylan of Windsor; her grandchildren Jenna Hoyt and her husband Tom, Brittany Castle and Daniel, Tyler and Evan Moylan; her sister Phyllis Beach and her husband Edward, and her sister-in-law Claire Eddy. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Judith Eddy and her brother, Julian B. Eddy, Jr. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 23rd, 12 NOON at the Simsbury Cemetery, 16 Plank Hill Road in Simsbury.
