Gwendolyn N. Lee

Gwendolyn N. Lee, 86, of Windsor, CT, died January 3, 2014. She was born January 30, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Herman Roland Lee, Sr. and Mary (Johnson) Lee. Gwendolyn worked for the Board of Education and retired from Phoenix Ins. Co. She was a pass Commanders of Arabic Court No. 95 member of the Daughter of Isis, Oasis of New Haven; she enjoyed being a foster grandparent to many children. Gwendolyn is survived by her sister, Rosalyn (Roy) Craddock of Manchester, CT; brothers-in-law, Alfred Booth of Manchester, CT. and Joseph Smith of Baltimore, MD and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Herman Roland Lee, Jr., sisters, Geraldyne Lee Long, Jacquelyn Lee Booth and Carolyn Lee Smith. A celebration of her life will take place Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 11am at Union Baptist Church, 1921 Main St, Hartford, CT; with a calling hour 10am-11am. Interment will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, 2035 Main Street, Hartford, CT. Services entrusted to Howard K.
