BRYANT, Henry C.
Henry C. Bryant, 84, of Southington, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2013 at The Summit At Plantsville. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Sturgeon) Bryant for 57 years. Born in Clarendon, VT on October 21, 1928, to the late Charles Bryant and Gladys (Colvin) Bryant, he had been a longtime Southington resident. Henry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a boiler room operator at New Departure. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Madison, CT. He is survived by 5 children: Dale Bryant and wife Kris of Bristol, Joanne Miller and husband Ron of Alabama, Donna LaPoint and husband Darrell of Southington, Kirk Bryant of Southington, and Anita Bryant of Southington; his sister Ellen Clark of Ohio, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers William, George and Edward Bryant and sisters, Alice Kawiecki and Mabel Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry's memory may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777. A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
