Ida Mitchell Obituary
Ida B. Mitchell, 93, of Deep River passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2013 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Robert D. Mitchell Jr. Ida was a proud Marine veteran serving in World War II. She was a voracious reader and will be remembered as being "The Captain of her own ship". She is survived by her sons, James T. Flynn (Diane) of Philadelphia, PA., Robert D. Mitchell III (Anna) of Norfolk, VA., her daughter Susan J. Murray (Mike) of Ivoryton, CT., five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister Henrietta Kendall. Funeral services will be held on December 19th at 1PM at the Gracelawn Memorial Park Cemetery chapel in New Castle, Delaware. Donations may be made in Ida's memory to Middlesex VNA Hospice Program, 51 Broad Street, Middletown, CT 06457. To share a memory of Ida or send a condolence to her family please visit www.rwwfh.com. I will miss Ida. I loved that woman. I made my usual call on her birthday and was unable to get her on the phone and my worse fears were realized when I found her obituary. She was a great lady and may she rest peacefully.
