Isabella T. Rau

1928 - 2013

Isabella T. (Falconer) Rau, 85, of Suffield, CT entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, December 6, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital with her family by her side. Isabella was born July 13, 1928, in Pawtucket, RI the daughter of the late William and Isabella (Dougan) Falconer. She was employed with United Paper Products and later with William H. Hall Company as Office Manager. Isabella was the Worthy Matron of the Evening Star O.E.S from 1969 to 1970 and was Mother Advisor of Warehouse Point Assembly # 12. She became Supreme Deputy for Connecticut of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls in 1975, Supreme Inspector in 1985 and a member of the House of Gold. Isabella was a longtime resident of Windsor Locks and moved to West Palm Beach, FL where she and Henry resided the last 25 years. They spent the summer months vacationing at Roy Carpenters Beach in Matunuck, RI. Recently Isabella and Henry moved back to the area to be closer to family. Isabella is survived by two children, Henry Rau, III and his wife, Claudia of North Granby and Sandra Ferrari and her husband, Ed of Windsor Locks; three grandchildren, Carolyn Rau of North Granby, David Rau of Boston, MA and Shaun Ferrari and his wife, Raina of VA; her great granddaughter, Sage Ferrari; a sister, Elizabeth Sears and her husband, William of Pawtucket, RI, a sister-in-law, Shirley Arsenault and several nieces and nephews. Isabella was predeceased by her husband, Henry of 64 years on September 14, 2013. In addition to her late husband she was also predeceased by two brothers, George and William Falconer and two sisters, Margaret Hesford and Catherine Audette. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during a visitation hour on Friday, December 13, 2013, from 10 am to 11 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.
