LANDOLINA, James V.
James Vincent Landolina, 83 of Cromwell, died unexpectedly on Sunday, (July 22, 2013). Son of Michael. and Angela Landolina, he grew up in Hartford. Jim Served during the Korean War and continued to serve in the U.S. Army National Guard for 43 years in CT where he retired at the rank of Captain. He settled in Cromwell. James attended the Hartford Technical College where he received a Degree in Engineering. He worked as a Plant Engineer for companies such as Combustion Engineering and The Timex Corporation. Jim was avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Goodwin Park in Hartford as well as being a passionate gardener. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Jim will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Ann, daughters Angela Caruso of Middletown and Sean Martin, Laurie and her husband Michael Montano of Newington, Lisa and her husband David Civitello of Southington and son James and wife Sharon Landolina of Tolland. He also leaves behind a large and happy family: Cassandra Caruso, Meagan Montano, Michelle Montano, Kayla Garcia, Alexis Garcia, Nick Garcia, Jamie Landolina, Kelly Landolina, Ashley Landolina as well as great-grandchildren; Julian Garcia, Gabriel Rodriguez. Jim also leaves his Brothers Paul and Edie Landolina of Florida and Salvatore Landolina of Clinton. Jim is preceded by his brothers Frank Landolina of Middletown and John Landolina of Florida.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 28 from 2-5 p.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, CT. A memorial service will be held at, Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rocky Hill, CT on Monday July 29 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675
