James Neagle Obituary

James F. "Jim", "Seamus" Neagle, Jr., 53, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Christine (Johnson) Neagle, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his home. He was born September 28, 1960, beloved son of Jean (Nardozzi) Neagle of Simsbury and the late James Neagle, Sr. Jim was a longtime resident of Simsbury, a graduate of Simsbury High School, Class of 1978 and had attended Tunxis Community College. He was self-employed as a Master Craftsmen and carpenter, and was the owner of On the Move, LLC. Jim was a member the Prince Thomas of Savoy Society in Avon and the Bloomfield Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed boating, hunting, taking vacations in Maine, his many dogs, and was especially fond of babies and children. Jim also loved to spend time with family, enjoying the occasional cigar with his Uncle John and his son Spencer, a glass of wine with his wife Chris, a delicious meal cooked by his daughter "Smiley Kylie", and many precious moments shared with his daughter Meghan, fondly known as "lovergirl." And throughout his life his constant source of inspiration and guidance, his rock and his angel, was his mom, Jean. Besides his beloved wife of 27 years and his mother, he is survived by his three adored children, Kylie, Spencer and Meghan Neagle; his two sisters, Patti Stamper and her husband Mike, and Beth Baldis and her husband Gary; two brothers, Dan Neagle and his wife Mary-Michele and John Neagle and his wife Christy; his sisters-in-law, Cindi Gajewski and her husband Greg, Cheri Rainey and her husband Andy and Sandi Hersom and her husband Troy as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and countless children who captured the heart of "Pop Neagle". The family will receive friends in Fr. Russell Hall at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road, West Simsbury on Saturday, December 28th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, preceding a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to support the family may be sent to "The Neagle Family, 85 B Woodland Street, Simsbury, CT 06070" to be used to set up a family trust. The family of Jim Neagle,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you now, and always... for the days to come. We have so many very fond memories of Jim... and the Neagle family. When I think of Jim, one word comes to mind...SELFLESS! Jim was concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with one's own! Jim will be missed dearly... and never to be forgotten!

Sincerely,

The Olson family

Jean & Family,
We were so sad to learn of Jimmy's passing. We will always remember his smile and good humor as a child on Fernwood Drive. We can still picture all of our children playin together; and what wonderful years they were. We hope that your memories of Jimmy will sustain during this difficult time.
