PETERS, James M.
James M. Peters, 67, of Plainville, passed away peacefully Friday, (August 16, 2013). Born in Bristol, May 8, 1946, son of the late Ralph and Noreen (Conway) Peters. He was an Air Conditioning Technician with the CT Transit Authority. James was a proud and highly decorated United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, having been awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in combat and the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Beale and her husband Mark of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother, David Peters and his wife Angela of Avon; his three grandchildren, Jackson, Kayla and Ryan Beale; his sister-in-law, Linda Peters of Plainville; his brother-in-law, Frank Perez of Stonington and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Peters; and his sister, Carol Perez.
Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, at 12:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc., www.ahernfuneralhome.com.

Still think of you Jim (and Steve, of course) and all the fun poker games on weekends, all the laughs. I miss you guys, as well as others of our group who have passed since then.

I lost contact with Jimmy when I move to Richmond but I will not forget the memories. I knew he always had my back whether it was at the Horse or down the beach.
