SOKOLOSKI, James (Junior)
James (Junior) Sokoloski, 83, of Simsbury and Norwich, passed away November 7, 2013 at the W.W. Backus Hospital. He was born, November 26, 1929 in Hartford and grew up in Simsbury. He later moved to Granby and then Norwich. He served in the US Army with Honorable Discharge. Jimmy enjoyed going to the Waterford Speedbowl, watching wrestling, the Red Sox and fishing. He is survived by two children, his son, Timothy and his wife Valerie of Windsor, a daughter Katie Elkins and her husband Timothy of Vermont, four grandchildren, Brian and Bonnie Sokoloski, Derek and Dana Elkins, three great grandchildren also a companion Linda McNulty of Norwich.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Simsbury Cemetery in Simsbury. The Cummings-Gagne Funeral Home Norwich, CT is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.cummings-gagnefh.com.
