James Tucker Obituary
James "Jim" C. Tucker 56, of Rocky Hill and also of. Sarasota FL., passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2014. He was born in Hartford the son of Merva Tucker McGuire of Rocky Hill, and the late Cyril L. Tucker, Jr. Jim was a mechanic and carpenter. Jim lived in Sarasota, FL. for over 20 years before returning to Connecticut five years ago. Jim was volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul in Middletown. He always had a smile on his face and was a devoted worker. He loved boating, fishing and golfing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Besides his mother, Jim leaves a sister Dorothy Tucker of Rocky Hill, a nephew Christopher Pratt of Rocky Hill, a step sister Deborah Lehmann of Quaker Hill, an aunt Mildred Hodge of Newington, two uncles Kenneth Neurath and wife Judy of Glastonbury, and Howard Tucker and his wife Ursula of Williamstown NJ, many cousins and friends. He also leaves a very special friend Lydia Brewster, who thought the world of him. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11am at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be from 10 to 11am just prior to the service. Donations in Jim's memory may be made to St. Vincent De Paul, Attention: Lydia, 617 Main St. Middletown, CT. 06459.

I had the wonderful pleasure of having Tucker as one of my good friends when I lived in Sarasota, Florida. Something made me think of him today so I looked him up and sadly found out he had passed away. You always made a bad day better. My wife and children enjoyed so many wonderful years with you partying at the pool. Miss you God be with you my friend. R.I.P.

Merva, Dottie and Christopher...we never know why and we never know when, God takes us home.By the grace of God, he is in a good place..welcomed by many special relatives past.
