Jean A. Tyrrell

1936 - 2013

Jean A. Tyrrell, 76, of Enfield, beloved wife of Arthur Tyrrell for 42 years, entered into eternal peace Thursday, Dec.5, 2013 at the Suffield House. Born in Hartford, December 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Gilpin) Fyler. Jean was raised in Glastonbury and had lived in Enfield for the past 42 years. She served in the U.S. Air Force, and had been employed for many years as an office administrator with local trucking and transportation companies. She was an avid sports fan claiming her loyalty to the UCONN Lady Huskies as well as the NY Giants. She loved to travel and was very active at the Enfield Senior Center. Her most cherished time was that spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Besides her husband Art, Jean is survived by a daughter, Sharon Kinsley and her husband Jeff of Denmark, ME; two granddaughters, Stephanie McCusker and Nichole Roberts; three great grandchildren, Krista, Keagan, and Tanner; two sisters, Alice Penfield and Evelyn Grimm; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Warren Fyler; and two sisters, Lucille Fyler and Viola Motowidlak. Her family wishes to thank Mary Blanchette for her caring and loving support. Jean's family will receive relatives and friends Monday, Dec. 9th from 5-7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. The funeral will be held Tuesday Dec. 10th at 11 a.m. at the Enfield Congregational Church, 1295 Enfield St., Enfield (please meet at church). Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery in East Windsor.
