Jeanne (Drewnowski) Christensen an angel on earth has fallen and returned home to her father's loving arms. Jeanne (Drewnowski) Christensen beloved Life Partner and Soul Mate of William Emmons of Windsor passed away at the Hebrew Health center of Pancreatic Cancer and Alpha 1. She was born on March 10, 1950, in Springfield MA the daughter of Jean Drewnowski of Suffield and the late Walter Drewnowski. As a "Friend of Bills" for more than 20 years, she helped many find their paths in life. She graduated from Suffield High and Asnuntuck CC, and was listed in Who's Who in American for her academic achievements. She had a passion for dance and had many opportunities to express her exceptional abilities. She leaves a son James Martino of Enfield and Grandson Dacota Martino of Stafford, Sisters Deborah Kellogg of New Hartford and Elizabeth Doyle and her Husband Eric of Summerfield Fl and brothers Ted Drewnowski and his wife Cheryl of Enfield, and Walter Drewnowski of Suffield. Special thanks to the Masonic Health Care and Holistic Health Care and Dr. Jane Walker of Windsor, and Hebrew Health Care. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, January 6, 2014, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at 10 am at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. (Please meet at the church). Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made to the Windsor Recovery Club, PO Box 1058, Windsor CT 06095. While I take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering; it is such a loss for everyone left behind. Jeanne was a light to all: funny, beautiful, ready to lend a helping hand, & could out talk our family, which is a feat unto itself! She was lucky to have such a dedicated partner to be by her side through the toughest part of her life. All she loved will now have another angel guiding us.

i have known Jeanne for ten years. She always had a smile and kind word for me, and i will miss her presence. the world was a much better place with jeanne in it. God Bless and sorry for your loss Bill, i am glad that i was able to say good buy to her.

Jeannie will be missed, but her message will carry on in the hearts of those who followed her example. Those she helped remain to carry the message, to others, who are still sick and suffering.
The nature of her spirit was, charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith. I believe her kindness touched even those who remain lost. We will all miss your smile and laughter.
My prayers go out to you Bill. Find strength in the goodness you shared with her. Keep spreading your message. Through your example; all obstacles can be met with faith and love, One Day at a Time.
