Dear Dr. Blancaflor,
My sincerest sympathies to you and your family. Losing Mom is tough. You were wonderful in taking care of my mom, Esther Mulcahy, in the late 90's. You struck me as a totally patient-centered doctor and comforted me in ways I shall always treasure. You even created a new word in my vocabulary: "Blancaflored" which means to be put at peace. As in "I've been Blancaflored" when you spoke of my Mom at the Middlesex ICU reassuring me she would be fine.
To be the guy you are requires input from many sources and I can see from the entries here that a your Mom was THE GREATEST IMPACT ON YOU.
The loss brings sadness to us but we can be joyful that our Mothers are in a far better place as their belief has promised them. This I have on personal experience which I hope in the near future will be yours. Once again, sincere sympathies to you.
