PAPA, Joan (Breininger)
Joan (Breininger) Papa, 79, of Newington died on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony S. Papa. Born in Meriden, she grew up there and lived in Newington for the last 40 years. Joan was formerly employed by Food Mart, Newington for many years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church and enjoyed working out at Bally's Gym, West Hartford. Survivors include her son Dean Papa of Newington, her granddaughter Melanie Papa of Middletown and her niece Gina Dutil of Middlefield.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Holy Spirit Church, 183 Church St., Newington. She will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. To share a memory with her family, please visit us at www.newingtonmemorial.com
