John Davis Obituary
John E. Davis, 79, of Southington lost his long and courage battle with Alzheimer's disease on Saturday, November 30, 2013.John was an avid Yankees, Giants, and horseracing fan who loved country music, bowling and dancing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather who always enjoyed family gatherings. John is survived by his beautiful wife of 53 years, Roberta, his children; David and Eleanor, Donna and Nick Piro, James and Barbara Davis, Brian Davis and Lucy Maziar, and Kathleen and Joe Naples; as well as his 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and Friends may join the family for calling hours at Coventry- Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke (RT44) in Coventry on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 5-7p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Mary's Church in Coventry, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013, and burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery on Friday, December 6, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in John's name to the Alzheimer's Association 2075 Silas Deane Hwy, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
