PINKHAM, John E.
John E. Pinkham, 80, of Manchester, beloved husband of the late Janet (Hebenstreit) Pinkham passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (October 22, 2013) at home. John was born on January 22, 1933 in Hartford son of the late John and Julia (Evans) Pinkham and he had resided in Manchester since 1956. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country in the US. Army. Prior to his retirement John was employed as a Lab. Technician with Nuway Tobacco of South Windsor for over 30 years. He was a longtime active Communicant of St. James Church in Manchester where he was part of the security team for the carnival and he was known as the church photographer. John was a member of the Manchester Army & Navy Club and a member of the East Windsor Sportsman Club. He is survived by his son, John W. Pinkham of Manchester, his daughter, Donna Marie Pinkham-Baker and her husband, Donald Baker of East Hartford his sister, Dolly Dragunvicius of Ellington and his two grandchildren, Tina Pinkham of Manchester and Matthew Pinkham and his son Merick both of Manchester.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 896 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Foundation, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105-9720 for the benefit of the Cardiac Research Program. I am sorry to hear of your loss. I will fondly remember him as a great man at church collecting with my Dad on the sat mass and as my dad Vincent Parsons casino buddy every fri for many years.
