CARTA, Joseph S. "Pat"
Joseph S. "Pat" Carta, 88, wife of Margarite (DeMeo) Carta of Middletown. Passed away on Thursday at his home following an illness. He was born May 12, 1925 in Middletown, son of the Late Frank and Santina (Pattavina) Carta. He was a Member of St. Sebastian Church and had been an active member of St. Sebastian Feast The I.A.C.O and the Elks Lodge # 771. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Sears in Middletown. He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters Sandi Pomeroy and her husband Winston of Punta Gorda, FL, and Lisa Corriveau and her husband Gary of East Hampton. Also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. from the D'Angelo Funeral Home 22 South Main St followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 at St. Sebastian Church. Burial with Military honors will be in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. On line condolences available at dangelofuneralhome.com
