COSTA, Joseph Anthony
Joseph Anthony Costa, 65, of Bloomfield, passed away at his home on Wednesday, (July 31, 2013). Son of the late Manuel and Guiomare Costa of Hartford and West Hartford, Joseph was born in Hartford and resided in Hartford, West Hartford, and Bloomfield. He honorably served in the US Army Rangers during the Vietnam Era and worked as a carpet installer, contractor, and for many happy years as an owner and operator of nightclubs. He enjoyed building and collecting things, working in his garage, playing pool and fishing, and anything nautical. He loved his friends, Blacky his cat, and most of all he loved talking. Joe's memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of his daughter, Christina Costa of Old Saybrook and sister, Mary Linda Costa Garrett of Bloomfield, as well extended family and dear friends.
At Joes's request, a private funeral will be held at the convenience of his family without public calling hours. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at the Windsor Elks Lodge, 130 Deerfield Rd., at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the VFW Post # 10153, 315 Essex Rd, Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
