SERRA, Joseph G. III
Joseph G. Serra III, husband of the Late Judith Serra of 233 Tuttle Rd., Middletown, passed away Wednesday at the Aurora Senior Living Center of Cromwell. He was born April 27, 1944 in LaPorte, IN, son of the Late Joseph George and Ruth (Cox) Serra Jr. Prior to his retirement he was a Supervisor at MDC. He is survived by his first wife and mother of his children Elaine B. Serra, his live in girlfriend Sieglinde Wurst. A son David John Serra of Hartford Wisconsin, A daughter Debra Serra-Dinneen of Coventry. A Brother Marvin Serra of Milford. Two sisters Marlene Congdon and Dorothy Younken both of Middletown. Two granddaughters Annmarie F. Vongphakdy and Marianne Serra. Family would like to give a special thanks to the nursing staff on the third floor of Aurora Health Care for the care and compassion they showed " Papa Bear" It is greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society 701 Russell Rd., Newington 06111. Friends and relatives may call at the D'Angelo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
