Joyce B. Eldridge

Joyce B. Eldridge 78, of South Windsor beloved wife of Lee Eldridge passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, the 15th of January 2014. Born and raised in Manchester, Joyce had resided in South Windsor for than 50 years and enjoyed spending family time with their five children. She loved to garden and spend the summers in New Hampshire with her family. Joyce left many friends at her Florida home where they would winter. She always returned to Connecticut to spend the first camping trip with family in April. In addition to her husband she leaves behind her children, Thomas L. Eldridge and his wife Lois, Douglas Eldridge, Susan Daley, Gregory Eldridge and his wife Nancy, grandchildren Casey, Sean, Brittany, Amanda, Jennifer, Matthew, Lauren, Jessica, Kenneth, Samantha, great-grandchildren Natalie, Nathan, Jayden, Jordan, a brother, Frank Butkus and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Anna (Karas) Butkus, a daughter, Sandra Eldridge, a son-in-law, Kenneth Daley and a brother, Stan Butkus. Memorial calling hours will be Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 1-3 pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester. Burial will be Tuesday, January 21, at 11 am in Section G in East Cemetery, Manchester.
