Judith Varley

Judith (Coughlin) Varley, age 67, of Grand Haven, MI passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2014. She was born in Hartford, CT to James and Marion (Davis) Coughlin. Judy graduated from Simsbury High School and Central Connecticut State University. She enjoyed careers as a school teacher in New Hartford, CT as well as a computer programmer and trainer at the Travelers and Covenant insurance companies of Hartford, CT. Additionally, She worked as a ski instructor at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, Ct. While in Connecticut she lived in Simsbury, Canton and Granby. She moved to Grand Haven, MI ten years ago. She loved the outdoors, especially hiking, skiing, swimming and sailing. Survivors include her sons, Peter (Jenny) Varley of East Orange, NJ and Matthew Varley of Grand Haven, MI; brothers: James Coughlin of Grand Haven, MI, Matthew Coughlin of Simsbury, CT and John (Nancy) Coughlin of Woodbury, MN.; several nieces and nephews;, her significant other John Curtiss of Simsbury, CT and a life-long friend Kathleen Mcdonough of Unionville, CT Service arrangements will be announced later.
