SKOWRONEK, Kathleen
On the morning of Sunday, (September 29, 2013), Kathleen Skowronek, 69, of East Hartford, CT, beloved wife of Henry Skowronek, passed away peacefully, in Boston, after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born August 9, 1944 in Hartford, CT, to the late Marion (Rock) Sperry and Archibald Sperry. Kathy graduated Hartford Public High, Class of 1963 and moved to East Hartford in 1968, where she resided for 45 years. Kathy was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Always baking, cooking, attending ball games and performances. She enjoyed all kinds of music and spent time attending concerts and shows. She will be most remembered for her devotion to her husband and family. Making every family occasion and holiday special. Her generosity and patience with her children and grandchildren and lovingly taking care of her own parents. In addition to her husband Henry of 49 years, Kathy will be dearly missed by her son Mark and his wife, Susan of East Hartford, her daughter Michelle St. Amand and her husband Kevin of South Windsor, her four beautiful grandchildren Mara Skowronek, Alexander Skowronek, Jake St. Amand, Max St. Amand, her cousins Carol Miler, Marion and John Losty and Gary and Jackie Donofrio.
Friends and family are welcome to gather on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT 06108 with a Funeral Service beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford, CT. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home.
