PHILLIPS, Kerri Anita
Kerri Anita Phillips, 50, of Ivoryton, died peacefully on April 24, 2013, surrounded by loving family, her special friend, Dave, and many other close friends. Kerri was born in Middletown on November 29, 1962, the daughter of the late Raleigh C. Phillips and Elida W. Phillips, currently of Palm Bay, FL. Kerri was a 1980 graduate of Old Saybrook High School and a 1984 graduate of Bryant University in Rhode Island. There she received a BS in business administration. Her business career included executive administrator to the President of Traveler's Realty Investment Corporation and later, a similar position at McKesson Corporation. Kerri was formerly married to John FitzGerald of Old Saybrook and is the mother of James Martin, 20, and Erin Kerri, 16, FitzGerald. The children were the focus of her life. Kerri enjoyed her family, her home and gardens, vacations in Newport and the Outer Banks, Jazz Festivals and all kinds of music. Kerri is survived by her mother, her five siblings, many cousins and their families. She is predeceased by her father.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, May 25 at 11 a.m. at the Deep River Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Deep River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The FitzGerald Children Education Fund c/o Kathy Duncan at the Guilford Savings Bank, P.O. Box 369, Guilford, CT 06437-0369.

She was like a pansey in bloom each spring. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Phillips and Fitzgerald families. Thank you for sharing her with each and every one of us left behind. Our heavenly father promises peace and has prepared a room in His mansion just for Kerri. XXOO

You are so missed, Kerri. I remember the times we shared and I wish I could have done more. I know you are at peace. Your spirit will live on through your beautiful children. You touched our lives and you will not be forgotten.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Though I hadn't seen Kerri since childhood, I will always have very fond memories playing cards with Kerri, Kurt and mom around the kitchen table.
