Kevin BENGTSON Obituary
BENGTSON, Kevin Carl
Kevin Carl Bengtson, 49, of Berlin, husband of Kimberly (Lambert) Bengtson, died suddenly on Saturday, (April 27, 2013). Born in Middletown, he was the son of Phyllis (Moore) Bengtson of Berlin and the late Warren L. Bengtson. Kevin lived most of his life in Berlin and Middletown, was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the owner of Roots and Shoots Landscaping in Berlin. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Berlin and the Highland Golf League for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors and a fan of the Red Sox and Redskins. Kevin was a loving husband, father and son, a gentle giant and an all around great guy with a kind heart. Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Nicholas A. Bengtson of Middletown; his brother, Keith A. Bengtson of Peebles, OH and two nephews and three nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 300 Washington St., Middletown with Rev. William Preuss officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Kevin's memory to the Animal Control Shelter, 600 Christian Lane, Berlin, CT 06037 and may send messages of condolence to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com. Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church St., Middletown is handling the arrangements.

Kim and Nick, I just found out about Kevin. I can't believe it. I am so, so sorry. My heart aches for you both. I assure you of my constant prayer for both of you, that God gives you the strength to get through this tragedy. Sometimes we just don't have the answers as to why life takes the course it does. May God have mercy on Kevin's soul, and may He bring you His comfort, peace and love. I am so, so sorry. My sympathy and love to you Kim, Nick, and Kevin's family and friends.

Nicky And Kim,
Kevin was a "godfather" to me. From playing with legos, fishing, golfing to being my boss. He really touched my life in so many ways and i'll never forget the times we all shared together and the life lessons he taught me. I'll miss you kevman!

Kevin was a big important part in my childhood.
He taught me a lot of things.
Never seen a man with so much passion for landscaping. When we were teenagers we did a lot of night putting at golf courses.
I was there when he met Kim.
I wish I could have spent an evening with him before he left us... Maybe we could have gone night putting... Just putting at night... Lyman's had a nice course.... I bet he is golfing right now.

Our deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing Chewie. Unfortunately my wife and I only had the privilege of knowing this gentle giant for a few very short years. He truly was one of the nicest people we ever met and will be missed dearly. I can only hope and pray he's is in a better place.
