L. Eugene Bos

L. Eugene Bos, 71, husband Lonni (Pageotte) Bos, of West Hartford died Wednesday, December 4th at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Born in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Louis and Leona Bos, he made his home in West Hartford for the past 21 years, moving from Vernon. He received his bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and worked as a commercial underwriter for The Hartford for 34 years. Gene was an active member of the Avery Street Christian Reformed Church in South Windsor and enjoyed mountain biking and running marathons. He was a retreatant and volunteer at Holy Family Retreat Center in Farmington. Besides his wife he is survived by his three sons Brian Bos of Coventry and his partner Angela Jalbert, Alan Bos of Vernon and Kevin Bos and his wife Stephanie of Tolland; his grandchildren Joseph, Anthony, Mia, Evan, Max, Alexandra. He also leaves his 3 brothers David, Michael and Stephen. Burial services are private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
